On December 20, 2024, we were thrilled to honor Georgia Robinson for her incredible dedication and years of service as a member of the Dowling Public Library Board. Georgia proudly served two terms (eight years) helping guide and grow our library. To celebrate her contributions, the library dedicated the new “Georgia Robinson Book Nook,” with a special sign in her name. Georgia was there to see the sign unveiled, and we could not be more grateful for her time and commitment to the library.
Dowling Public Library Board members are elected in Michigan’s general elections on a non-partisan ballot and serve a four-year term. The board works to meet the needs of our community by setting annual goals, creating policies for the library’s operations, managing finances, hiring and evaluating staff, and, of course, advocating for the library’s continued growth and success.
